The 836kWh commercial and industrial energy storage project at Shanghai Jifeng Semiconductor Electronics Factory was Yingli's first completed client project. The project was designed to optimize electricity consumption in manufacturing by using energy storage to shave peaks and fill valleys. Charging and discharging strategies were developed based on Shanghai's electricity prices, saving the client tens of thousands of yuan in electricity costs each month.
